My wife and I are first time home buyers and learning daily about the process. My friend recommended Bob and after reading the great reviews I decided to call him. I called Bob on Labor Day for an inspection on Wednesday. He answered immediately and agreed to inspect the house. Bob also arranged to have a pest inspector come to the house at the same time. I met Bob at the house and he let me shadow him the entire process. He went into detail and explained which repairs needed to be done ASAP and which ones were minor. The next day he sent a detailed report along with photos. I would recommend Bob for anyone looking for a reliable yet fairly priced inspector.

My wife and I are first time home buyers building a new construction home in Richmond, TX and will be closing next week! The home builder provides a third party inspector, but we wanted to double up and have our own inspector for this process for the peace of mind. After reading so many great reviews about Fry Home Inspection, I had the pleasure of having Bob Fry on our team during this inspection process. First off, we learned that each builder requires a certificate of insurance for inspectors before inspecting the house and unfortunately our builder requires an above average coverage of $1MM general liability. I would expect independent inspectors to immediately turn that down since it's an overkill requirement for the industry but Bob was able to call his insurance company and have the GL coverage increased to meet their requirement so he could inspect our home. The guy is committed and we really appreciated that. Showed that he really wanted our business.
I have to say that the reviews that I read beforehand are pretty spot on. He made the process very seamless and his experience really came in clutch for us as he was able to find several issues with the home even with it being a new construction home. Our project manager agreed with all of his findings and is making corrections this week. Bob was very personable during this process and he was able to use his experience/industry knowledge to explain his findings and how they relate to code. Overall, we felt that Bob went above and beyond the call of duty and we are definitely satisfied with his services. I will be recommending his services to friends and family if a home inspector is needed in the future. Thanks again Bob!

I contacted Bob after reading his reviews on Yelp, and sure enough he was great! He showed up on time to the house that we are in the process of purchasing and as soon as he introducd himself, I felt confident we chose the right inspector. He was extremely thorough with his inspection and explained everything to my husband and I along the process. I would definitely use him again and would recommend him to anyone who is in the process of purchasing a home.

I cannot recommend Bob Fry enough. He responded quickly and was super helpful the whole entire time. What was awesome was that he would text me updates on what he was seeing, so he kept me always informed and that was really nice. He was also super cool and friendly, I felt like we were in good hands. And he took care of us! We were referred by my sister and are forever grateful for going with him as our inspector. We will definitely call him up again in the future when we decide to purchase another home. Thank you Bob!!

My Fiancee and I used Bob February 25th for the inspection of our new home purchase. He was great to work with from start to finish. He met us at the home where we were greeted with a smile and introductions before moving into the fun stuff. He didn't mind at all, us kind've tagging along as he explained his methods/findings. The very next day we had a detailed inspection with clear digital pictures attached in lieu of summarized findings. We got a home inspection on an older home we are looking to purchase. (Our first home) After many calls to different home inspectors we decided to go with Mr. Fry. He was FANTASTIC and was so thorough. After so much stress with buying a home; he put me at ease with his findings. I know many inspectors don't like when you are present during the inspection but Mr. Fry invited us to be there with him. He explained his findings as they occurred. Awesome! He knows what he's doing. He was on time and actually got started before we got there and went back to tell us his findings. He did not mind going over anything with us. He was very prompt with returning our calls and communication was definitely not an issue. I would use him again and will definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for an inspector

You will not get a better quote anywhere else so don't even waste your time trying to! I got 15 quotes and Fry's was by far the best! Mr. Fry not only offers the best rates around, but he has the experience and knowledge to give you an amazingly detailed, thorough inspection. Plus, he's a very friendly good ole 100% Texan! Use him, you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I are looking into buying a 1920 home in the Heights and after research, we came across Bob. He responded within minutes after I left a voicemail and was able to set up an appointment the same week. We just wrapped up the inspection and he invited my husband to walk around the house with him and explained different things. His findings were thorough, educated and not rushed. I requested a quote from the Yelp app, he replied in minutes and since I was happy with price and availability, I scheduled the inspection. The day of the inspection Bob showed up early and not only he was professional but also very friendly and patient to explain everything he was checking. Next day I received the report detailing the issues he had found and explained during the inspection. I would definitely recommend him.

My client needed his investment property inspected and Fry Inspection came out and did a great job. Bob went over inspection issues on property and sent a detailed report on those item. Prompt and courteous. I requested info through Yelp and Bob replied within minutes. He was extremely courteous. I especially appreciated his want to have me involved in looking around my new house and review anything I thought might be a problem. Bob was respectful of the home and very knowledgeable about older homes. He was also right on time, which is a big deal to me as a client. The inspection came back exactly when he said it would. As a first time home buyer, there was A LOT that I was anxious about in the home buying process. Everyone kept telling me to "get ready for the inspection"- Luckily I found myself in great hands with Bob. He got back with me immediately, spent the time to go over the inspection in full detail so that I had complete understanding, and just overall provided a wonderful experience that helped me confidently make my decision on the house. Update 9/30/2017: The first home that we wanted to buy that we used Bob for unfortunately fell through :(. However Bob offered us a discount to use him again and he did another great job! He showed up right on time, was very professional the entire time, and once again demonstrated his knowledge and expertise.
I used him twice and would recommend him both times!
After spending 20 minutes on google, Yelp, homeadvisor, and other websites I ultimately ended up choosing Bob for the inspection of the home I'm buying and I'm so glad I did!
Bob lived up to the Yelp reviews in his flexibility to meet around my schedule and he showed up promptly on time and he was funny, courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable the entire time. I could tell that he had 18 years of experience in his ability to point out different things that I would have otherwise overlooked and he knew the different things that needed to be up to code as well.
The home also ended up having a previously undetected AC issue and Bob demonstrated his knowledge surrounding everything related to the ductwork, condenser, coil, and other AC components as well.I'd highly recommend Bob for your next home inspection and am glad that I went with him.
PS at the end he even cut me a discount and made me promise to take my wife out to dinner!

Needed a condo I was buying inspected. Bob got back to me right away with a time that met my needs as well as a great price. He met me at the condo and it felt like having a friend do the inspection. Very friendly and thorough. He explained the process well and I felt comfortable that my property was inspected properly. I received my report by email the next day and it included photos and descriptions that will be very useful. I would definitely recommend him.

Thanks to Yelp I was able to find Bob to inspect my new home prior to purchase. Thanks to Bob I was able to save myself some serious money in the future with this new home. I called a few places to get quotes for home inspection. Bob was the only one who answered right away, gave me a reasonable quote for the inspection, AND was willing to come out to the suburbs where my new home is located. He has since been a great help and is always a quick phone call away if I have any questions.
My new home is built by a reputable builder and I called Bob to go check it out, not thinking that he will find any issues, but really for my peace of mind. Bob was able to get me a detailed write up including clear photos and detailed descriptions the very next day. He found a few issues that can turn into major issues if left alone. The main issue that he found, which to an untrained eye can be easily missed, was that the backyard grading was draining towards the foundation of the house. The backyard was muddy most of the time, showing signs of improper water drainage. Over time, this can cause major foundation issues. The seller originally did not deem it an issue as there was a slight slope away from the house for drainage, but Bob was able to advise us what to say to get the builders fix it. He knew the law and the codes well and because of that we were able to cite them and get this issue fixed prior to closing.
Bob has years of experienced and is very personable. I highly recommend him for his services.

I called multiple places to get quotes and see if anyone could come out the next day. Bob was the only one that not only gave me an excellent quote but could come out with barely any notice. Overall great experience! Mr. Bob found some minor issues with the home we were about to buy. Luckily most of them were fixed upon request from the sellers, after a formal inspection was presented to them. He took many pictures and documented everything thoroughly. There was an issue with the water being on for inspection and Bob even went out of his way to help us by coming back when the water was turned back on, to make sure everything was working properly. He didn't have to but we greatly appreciated that he went the extra mile to take care of us. I would definitely recommend him to friends, family, and anyone needing any kind of inspection. I have never had such a complete inspection done on a home. Bob knows all current building codes. He helped explain the workings of our home with tips on maintenance and upkeep. We are buying a new home so I didn't expect there to be many issues. Bob found quite a few red flags that we can now ask the builder to address before we close. I highly recommend Bob. His prices are reasonable, he spent HOURS doing the inspection -- checking every plug and going over the house from top to bottom. Along with the written report, Bob sat down with me and explained his findings. Bob is like having someone in your corner in the complex process of home buying.

My husband and I are first time home buyers, so this process was very new to us. We were not sure what to look for in an inspector or what to expect. I contacted a few vendors with good Yelp reviews and Bob was very responsive. He was the most competitively priced and was available when we needed him. He was on time (he beat us there) and thorough in his inspection. He explained everything and has a great attitude. I can't say enough great things about Bob From beginning to end he was great and very professional. He worked around my schedule which was a huge plus and even came to my workplace for a face to face consultation before the inspection took place. The inspection was very thorough and he is very knowledgeable. The report he prepared definitely showed his expertise -which impressed both parties involved in the real estate transaction. I just want to say first off that Mr. Fry came out a day after Christmas to inspect our home and was there 9 AM sharp at our house.... did a really fabulous job with a reasonable price and I'm very grateful for him he was very professional.. He looked at every inch of the house... and was very precise very understanding got to the point and wasn't that technical and did a great job I'm a very happy customer with Mr. Fry.... He was very helpful with his electrical experience told me what I needed to get done to the house so that the house would be up to code so my advice if you need a home inspector this is a guy to call
